You Gonna Shoot Something

Sam and I are busy packing for our trip. We leave tomorrow. I'm always impressed with Sam's organization. She has us all on an itinerary for this trip and we're really looking forward to it. I think she's made a list of things to pack, so I'm going to sneak a peak at that before I zip up my suitcase.

Many of us got together for dinner last week, and we discussed some of the details for the trip. It was interesting to hear the different planning going on among the group. Most of the women are asking, "what do we wear?" Most of the men are asking, "how many rides will we get in?" I find that I really don't care on both fronts. I don't care what we wear and I don't care how much we ride. I know I'm packing light on this trip, so I'll probably pack and then take out 25% before I close up the case.

Van made us laugh because he's had some pretty funny comments from friends and clients that find out he's going to South Africa. Like all of us, he's been shooting his mouth off and bragging about an amazing adventure he's taking and everyone has two questions for him.

1. Are you going on a mission trip?
2. Are you gonna shoot something?

The answer is no on both Q's. We are on a mission to have fun though and we're planning all sorts of cool stuff. I do plan to shoot lots of pictures with my new Nikon camera, so I guess I'd have to say yes to #2.

Keep an eye on this blog and we'll post when we can slow down enough to brag. Gotta go throw some stuff in my suitcase.
